One of my favorite things as a photographer is when you can combine the perfect place with the perfect couple. As a frequent traveler to Dublin, I was constantly noticing perfect places for shoots. After about a year and a half, I teamed with Collette from Elegant Events.ie to help me find the perfect couple – and she came through in spades!Read More
The best part about weddings in Florida is the variety. While most people think they will all be Spring time golf course weddings, the reality is much different. Jen + Alex were married on the grounds of an old farmhouse in the original part of Melbourne.Read More
It is always so humbling to get a call from a Bride that is super excited to work together on their wedding. Even more so, when the Bride is an old classmate from a billion years ago in High School. Getting to see Sara again and working with her new Wife, Anne was so awesome. They were married at Plimoth Plantation in the crispy-crunchy beauty of a New England Autumn.Read More
How do most people spend the day after their wedding? Basking in the sun, Sipping mojitos? At the spa? Not Pam + Dave….we spent the entire day roadtripping down the Florida Keys on an epic Trash The Dress session. We started in Islamorada and ended up at the “Southernmost Point” in Key West. We broke a few minor laws (just misdemeanors – this is a TTD sesh, after all), scaled some fences, waded in the sea, and entertained an ornery group off Duval Street.Read More
Of all the tropical destinations I have shot, Hawaii is my favorite. The colors, the unique island flavor, and the little hidden gems of beaches and secret spots make it a photographer’s paradise. The fact I lived there makes is something of a return home for me , too.Read More
What’s better than waking up, slightly hungover from your wedding the night before? Waking up, getting dressed, and meeting your photographer under a cold rain in British Columbia. All without a stop at Tim Hortons, to boot.Read More
I always enjoy a good destination shoot, especially when the wedding is in the Florida Keys in October. Pamela + Dave were married at Pierre’s Restaurant in Islamorada, FL with their friends and family. I loved hanging out with their ‘New Yoaka’ family and getting to know them. We spend the entire next day on an epic roadtrip down US 1 to Key West where we thoroughly trashed that dress!Read More
No one really thinks of an old building being an ideal wedding venue. But, once I met Shelly + Bart and they explained their idea, it sounded amazing.
The venue (was NOT an old building, actually) was a fully renovated downtown Seattle loft with a wonderful crew and even better sunset.Read More
I flew into Detroit this past weekend, to be a part of Kara + Matt’s wedding in Ann Arbor. They were married in the presence of an amazing family and group of friends at the beautiful Misty Farm. Their wedding was so perfect! From the colors, and the weather to the fireworks and the amazing vegan dinner!Read More
I really enjoy shooting destination weddings, as they are always an adventure. But, when a wedding turns into an 18 hour jeep roadtrip into British Columbia – through some amazing scenery – the adventure is more of an escape.Read More
Fletcher Beach is probably my favorite place in Florida to shoot. So when I heard my clients Danielle + Mike were to be married on that very strip of sand, I was ecstatic. It would be my first wedding shoot there, among the limestone formations.Read More
One of my favorite things about the Caribbean, are the rich colors and textures that pepper the architecture. The storms and relentless sun take their toll on the colors of the islands…but this can be a photographer’s paradise.Read More
Shannon + Miguel were such a fun couple to work with! Not only was their Melbourne, FL engagement session super fun, but we also ended our Trash The Dress shoot in a creek full of gators (which we only found out about later).Read More
It isn’t every day you get to kickoff a Trash the Dress session in abandoned sugar mill ruins. It’s also not every day you get such a firebrand couple like Lindsay + Kyle, either.
These two were virtually inseparable, and we (I teamed up with my friends at Concept Photography on this shoot) were able to take some pretty remarkable images.Read More
Janice + Kevin contacted me from Toronto, asking if I would be interested in shooting their Hawaii wedding on Oahu. They had rented a beautiful North Shore estate, and of course I was delighted to be a part of it.
It was a beautiful beachfront ceremony and Janice + Kevin had their dearest friends and family with them to witness the occasion.Read More
In every photographer’s memory, certain events stand out. It is human nature. Pinnacles, really – where the stars align just so, and an amazing energy courses through everyone that has the privilege to share that moment.Read More
One of my favorite things as a wedding photographer is combining the personal passions of my clients with their wedding photos. And a Trash the Dress session is perfect for that.
Enter Jennifer + Alex, who wanted to combine Alex’s professional dirtbike racing with their TTD shoot. In Palm Bay, Florida Jen traded the veil for some goggles and was such a trooper as we pelted her with mud and rocks, eventually wading into a snake-infested mud pit, and then an ice cold natural spring to wash it all off.Read More
There is this amazing stretch of beach in Florida, down near Jupiter that has to be one of my top favorite places to shoot in the state.
It is a natural limestone formation that actually runs down most of Florida’s eastern coastline, but in this one little area, it breaks the surface, giving us cliffs and sculptures that rise from the sand. It does not look at all like Florida.Read More
I met Esther + Chris when shooting their friends’ wedding in Honolulu. They are a super fun couple, and when they asked me to shoot their wedding in the Caribbean, I jumped at the chance. I’d be lying if I said I had a little tinge of nervousness, as Chris is a wedding photographer from Toronto. So I needed to nail it.Read More
