Last week I had a chance to shoot a local senior - Christian. Being from the mountain, we explored the lower parts of Mt. Hood and found some amazing spaces right in our backyards.Read More
The perfect photo equation goes something like this: Perfect couple + Perfect location + perfect light. Oh, and a camera, too. But sometimes that perfect location can be as elusive as the other elements.
So when I heard about the abandoned Tillamook Railroad in the Salmonberry Wilderness of Oregon, I knew it would be an epic shoot. And Rachelle + Nolan agreed.
So in April 2016, I teamed up with Maddy Kay Photography to venture into the Oregon backcountry and make this shoot happen.
The railroad did not disappoint. The Springtime sun filtered low through new leaves, as we roamed this post-apocalyptic, forested scene. We traversed hanging tracks, dark, damp tunnels, and breath-taking trestles that proudly stood hundreds of feet above the creeks below.
It was an odd feeling, at times – instantly falling in love with a place that is slowly being reclaimed by nature. We all appreciated that in just a few years, most of the places we stood may no longer be around. But that’s the deal we make with nature, I guess.Read More
Seattle is one of my favorite cities to shoot in, with it’s often grey skies and ocean influence.

We basically free roamed the city, starting at a small park then making our way through Belltown.
The heavy downpours stopped literally as we started shooting, the clouds parted, and we had an awesome shoot!Read More
I met Shannon + Levi at an old farmhouse on Sauvie Island. It was a beautiful fall day and we had an awesome time. I always love it when an engagement session starts with great light, a wonderful couple, and ends with an ice cold pint of some of Oregon’s finest microbrew. We journeyed around Sauvie Island, eventually ending at a pumpkin patch and aCaptured by Porches beer truck. I call it fate.Read More
It isn’t every day you get to kickoff a Trash the Dress session in abandoned sugar mill ruins. It’s also not every day you get such a firebrand couple like Lindsay + Kyle, either.
These two were virtually inseparable, and we (I teamed up with my friends at Concept Photography on this shoot) were able to take some pretty remarkable images.Read More
